Hindu god nude (photos)

Dear friend, In your opinion this justify the work of M.F.Hussain. If there are nude sculptures of Hindu God,does it give licence to make more paintings. Had there any nude painting of Bharat Mata? How can M.F.Husain make a painting like that? Kindly justify it if possible.

@ To all:You people started into a deep conversation wherein you end-up in criticizing your self and your relegion. First of all, everyone wo oppose / object MFH, pls get out of ur houses, travel all around india, especially south, remove all the existing nude sculptures which portray sex and nudity and find the creator of those sculptures, investigate / examine whether those creators are muslim / hindu and then come to a conlusion whether to crucify MFH or not. I understand how much luv, faith you have on ur god, but it doesnot mean in anyway that you will have different opinions and thoughts on nudity when it comes to a muslim artist. What the F__K (sorry for using this term) it is. First of all stop beleiving on idols, sculptures and have faith on one and only god wo does exist but without shape or image.

Other nude Hindu goddesses who might have inspired Chhinnamasta are the malevolent war goddess and the South-Indian hunting goddess . Kotavi, sometimes described as a (“mother goddess”), is nude, dishevelled, wild, and awful in appearance. She is mentioned in the scriptures and , often as a foe of the god . The ferocious, wild Korravai is the goddess of war and victory. Both goddesses are linked to battlefields; Chhinnamasta is not. Kinsley points out that while there are several bloodthirsty, nude, and wild goddesses and demonesses in Hindu mythology, Chhinnamasta is the only goddess who displays the shocking self-decapitation motif.

Hindu gods were also fond of stealing the garments of women to watch their naked bodies. This is venerated on temples through idols, there are idols of this shameless act by their Bhagwans in temples. Hindus boldly hang the portrait of Krishna stealing the clothes of Gopis while the Gopis coming out of the water in a fully nude state. However Krishna was not the only God who did this, several other gods did this act too,

When M.F Hussain was questioned by Hindu extremists if he will sketch nude images of Muslim God like he did of Hindu deity, what answer were they expecting from him? A genius artist, thinker, writer and scientist should keep mute when faced with harassment and continue doing their work, not reacting at all to the questions raised by ignorant extremists and bunch of hooligans. This is the sign of genius. M.F Hussain did just that.
