Peas pod nude (photos)

Every year my gardening group walks in our city’s 4th of July parade. We’ve had people dress as carrots, lemons, and an ear of corn. This past year I dressed as a pea pod and the costume was quite a hit. It’s just two pieces. You put the piece with the light green peas on first, fitting it around your face. Then you step into the dark green pod and pull the dark green “hood” up over your head. I had to pin the pieces in place or else they slipped with movement.It’s polyester so I did get hot over the course of a warm summer day. But I wore a thin green Tshirt and running shorts underneath and I was fine. Also the material is stretchy so walking 3+ miles was not a problem.People were definitely drawn to me. Little kids laughed and waved and took pictures. Adults felt compelled to pat my peas and make pregnancy jokes which was…interesting. I liked the costume a lot. It saved me so much time – I could not have made a better costume for less money. Served the purpose I needed it for so it worked out great!
