Netflix’s three-pronged rom-com is one of the sexy sleeper hits of the year, packed with adult-only dialogue and some surprisingly steamy scenes. There’s Matt and Blair’s impromptu hate-sex office hookup, of course, but the more emotionally charged moments come courtesy of Jenny and Nate, whose relationship crumbles in the first scenes of the movie but whose flashbacks prove just how good (and intensely sexy) their relationship was.

“If we’re talking sex scenes in terms of what’s funny, the opening sex scene from Bridesmaids is absolutely the best one ever. Jon Hamm and Kristen Wiig completely nail the awkwardness of trying to find a perfect position. It’s so weird and out there, but it also makes perfect sense for these two actors. Plus, John Hamm playing any character that’s an asshole is always mesmerizing to watch. To be fair, the “sexiest” scenes don’t necessarily require the act of sex to make our list. In fact, two of our favorite shows reminded us that something as simple as a dance can be incredibly sexy. (That said, most of them do involve sex.)

But How Sexy Is This Compilation of Sexiest Movie Scenes, Really?

There are sex scenes, and then there are sexy scenes. We all know what we’re gonna get in a sex scene, but what’s great—honestly, even better!—about a sexy movie scene is that it can be almost anything. You might witness a sultry song performed by a paragon of sexuality like and David Bowie—or there may be no dialogue at all, like the wordless listening-booth scene in Before Sunrise. People disrobe (to a degree) in sexy scenes, sure, but amid the expected kisses and classic seductions (here’s to you, Mrs. Robinson!), they might also throw pottery, learn to whistle, play paintball, or even do something as G-rated as take off a … glove.
