Threesome configurations come in many combinations. From three single folks joining up, to an individual joining a couple. But when it comes to threesome planning, the majority of questions I get in my coaching practice and in threesome classes are from existing couples interested in adding a third. If this is your situation, you’ve got some extra planning and negotiation to do before a third person is added to the mix.
Bear in mind that fantasy is almost always hotter than reality and trying to live out a hot three-way scenario can sometimes result in a let-down. In our threesome fantasies, all three tongues, six legs, and thirty fingers work in perfect harmony to create a cauldron of erotic pleasure; in reality, arranging all those limbs, lips and lovers in a queen-sized bed can be a physical challenge even before emotions, egos and performance pressure come into play. So if talking about a threesome and whispering wet, naughty words in your lover’s ear keeps your sex life sizzling hot, don’t be afraid to stop there.
Here’s what I came up with. Consider it some much-needed advice for the pinch-hitter in a three-way (though most of this advice applies to anyone considering a three-way). Here are 8 threesome rules; do not proceed without the following:
Everyone knows that the couple must trust each other. But the guest also needs to trust that the couple has come to the right decision in having a threesome. If you think one of the partners is not emotionally stable enough for it, then you must politely decline the invitation. If you don’t trust one of the partner’s intentions for the threesome, or you think they might overstep their boundaries, then don’t do it.
